SMC Racing HCL-HP packs are built with pure Lithium Cobalt Oxide (LCO) cathodes — not the blended chemistries (like NMC) used in standard RC LiPo batteries. This focused approach to cell chemistry delivers measurable performance advantages for high-end RC racing and bashing.

Why Pure LCO?

• Higher Energy Density — LCO chemistry maximizes capacity (mAh) within a given physical footprint, building on the foundation of the older DV Extreme series.
• Ultra-Low Internal Resistance (IR) — Pure LCO cells are engineered for minimal resistance, reducing heat buildup and delivering clean, sustained power throughout the run.
• Maximum Punch — The combination of low IR and high energy density enables massive discharge rates (up to 150C), translating directly to faster acceleration and higher top speeds on the track or water.
• Extended Cycle Life — Pure LCO provides excellent chemical stability over repeated charge/discharge cycles, meaning slower degradation compared to lower-quality blended chemistries.
