Tamiya TAM35391 1/35 M24 Chaffee European Theater Tank Kit recreates the U.S. light tank as it appeared during World War II. This unassembled plastic display model captures its compact, low-profile form with detailed cast textures, weld lines and selected turret interior fittings. Assembly and painting are required; this is not a radio-controlled model.
About the M24 Chaffee
Developed as the successor to the M3/M5 Stuart light tanks, the M24 Chaffee was formally adopted in 1944. It combined sloped turret and hull armor with a 75 mm main gun originally developed for the B-25 bomber. Its torsion-bar suspension was unusual for a U.S. tank of the period. The Chaffee entered combat before the end of World War II as Allied forces advanced through France and Western Europe and fought in Italy. It later served in conflicts including the Korean War and the Indochina War.
