The E-flite® HBZ6150 Apprentice STOL S 700 is a Bind-N-Fly (BNF) Basic RC trainer airplane featuring AS3X® stabilization and SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology — designed to make learning to fly RC airplanes more accessible and forgiving than ever. The STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) configuration gives the Apprentice STOL S 700 exceptional slow-speed handling and the ability to operate from short grass strips and confined spaces — ideal for pilots who don’t have access to a full-size runway. AS3X technology continuously corrects for wind and atmospheric disturbances to deliver smooth, stable flight, while SAFE technology provides envelope protection and optional beginner/intermediate/experienced flight modes that limit bank and pitch angles to keep the aircraft recoverable. BNF Basic means the aircraft arrives ready to bind to a compatible Spektrum transmitter — no assembly required beyond binding.

The Apprentice STOL S 700mm has been scaled down from the popular Apprentice 1.5m and 1.2m models, yet has also been designed to offer STOL capabilities similar to E-flite® Timber® series models. It's "ultra-micro" sized to be more affordable and convenient for more people to fly in more places and smaller spaces – from yards and parks to sports fields and beyond!
Brushless Power
The factory-installed brushless outrunner motor is compatible with affordable and common 2S 300mAh rechargeable Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries. It's more powerful and efficient than brushed motors, which gives the Apprentice STOL S the power to fly in winds that other ultra-micro and mini-class trainer models can't typically handle (up to 5 mph).
Capable Gear
The oversized tires and steerable tailwheel make it possible to taxi, take off from and land on a variety of surfaces that are impossible for most models of this size to handle. From the grass surfaces found at many parks and sports fields, to gravel paths and paved surfaces.
Durable Design
Construction with advanced EPO material delivers a lightweight yet durable airframe that's tough enough to handle everyday flying punishment without getting bent out of shape. This makes the Apprentice STOL S 700mm the most durable ultra-micro trainer yet! And in the unfortunate event you damage any airframe parts or components and can't repair them, a full line of replacement parts is readily available.
Easy Assembly
The Apprentice STOL S arrives mostly factory-assembled with the power system, servos and receiver installed. All you need to do is slide the landing gear into the fuselage then install the wing using two convenient thumbscrews and you'll be ready to fly within minutes of opening the box – no glue or tools required!
